| So I never update. Ya know why? Cause I'm never home.
My life has been consumed by school and band and football. But on
the upside, we're undefeated, which means we'll probably be going back
to "sunny" California this December if all goes according to
plan. I really have nothing to say, I'll probably have more
tomorrow or something, but for now my brain has shut down for the
night. Peace out playas.
Yes, sometimes I think I'm black...get over it

| So how much do I love this song? I don't know what it is, I just can't get enough of it.
She got out of town
On a railway New York bound
Took all except my name
Another alien on Broadway
There's some things in this world
You just can't change
Some things you can't see
Until it gets too late
(chorus)
Baby, baby, baby
When all your love is gone
Who will save me
From all I'm up against out in this world
Maybe, maybe, maybe
You'll find something
That's enough to keep you
But if the bright lights don't receive you
You can turn yourself around
And come on home
I got a hole in me now
I got a scar I can talk about
She keeps a picture of me
In her apartment in the city
Some things in this world
They don't make sense
Some things you don't need
Until they leave you
And they're things that you miss
(chorus)
Let that city take you in
Let that city spit you out
Let that city take you down
For God's sake turn around

Important News from Oklahoma:
Enid, Oklahoma
August 24, 2005
A seven-year-old boy was at the center of a courtroom drama today when
he challenged a court ruling over who should have custody of him.
The boy has a history of being beaten by his parents and the judge
initially awarded custody to his aunt, in keeping with child custody law
and regulations requiring that family unity be maintained to the degree
possible.
The boy surprised the court when he proclaimed that his aunt beat him
more than his parents and he adamantly refused to live with her. When
the judge then suggested that he live with his grandparents, the boy
cried out that they also beat him.
After considering the remainder of the immediate family and learning
that domestic violence was apparently a way of life among them, the
judge took the unprecedented step of allowing the boy to propose who
should have custody of him.
After two recesses to check legal references and confer with child
welfare officials, the judge granted temporary custody to the Oklahoma
Sooners, whom the boy firmly believes are not capable of beating anyone. | | |
| Texas Longhorns - 25
Ohio Buckeyes - 22
That's right folks, we beat Ohio in their infamous
stadium at night. They said it couldn't be done...oh but it
can. Too bad the game was freakin amazing and I got to be right
there in the middle of it. Let's just say that Ohio fans are like
Aggies and Sooners combined times 5. There's about 20,000 more
people doing the exact same thing and being that much louder.
Makes a section of about 4,000 Texas fans feel a little bit helpless in
the cheering/noise making area. But apparently it was enough
cause Mr. Vince Young and his gazelle-like abilities pulled
through. I swear that dude it my hero. Not to mention we
broke attendance records. And after the game, although we didn't
get yellow meals which makes me sad, we did hear about how Ohio fans
were setting cars on fire. That made for an interesting
time. And as we were trying to get off campus I swear the fans
didn't know how to react or what to do with themselves (besides set
cars on fire) cause they were all walking around in this depressed
state. And then after taking forever at the airport and security
and everything, we finally got back to Texas at like 6:15 in the
morning. One long day, I'll tell you. But it was totally
worth it. I'd say the game ranks right along side the Rose Bowl,
which, if all goes according to plan, we will be experiencing again
this year *fingers crossed*.
Let's just say there's more wrong with Ohio than snow and rain. Yeah.
